ECONOMIC and Financial Crimes Court (EFCC) yesterday concluded hearing in a case the State is seeking forfeiture of former first lady Esther Lungu’s 15 flats in State Lodge worth K24 million.
The court is expected to render judgment in August on a date to be communicated to the parties – the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Govt nods Kalaba’s proposal Plans to legislate subsistence pay for ex-Veeps under wayJudgment for Esther Lungu flats set for Augustrepresenting the State, and lawyers for Mrs Lungu.
Before judgment is passed, parties have been asked to make submissions with DPP given June 4 and Mrs Lungu May 28.
The matter was heard in chambers yesterday by judges Pixie Yangailo, Ian Mabbolobbolo and Vincent Siloka.
