THREE people have died in a road traffic accident on the Kasama-Mpika road. Eight others sustained serious injuries.
Police spokesperson Charity Chanda said in a statement issued in Lusaka yesterday that the accident happened around 11:30 hours on Monday.
The deceased are Kelvin Chozongo, 19, and two children aged 10 and 13.
“A Toyota Glanvia registration number ALL 6212 which was carrying several passengers overturned due to a tyre burst,” Mrs Chanda said.
The injured are admitted to Kasama General Hospital while the bodies are in the mortuary at the same health facility.
