GOVERNMENT is still waiting for the Technical Committee drafting the republican constitution to hand over the final document and has nothing to do with the purported draft constitution circulating among the members of the public.
This is according to a statement released yesterday by special assistant to the president for press and public relations, George Chellah.
“We wish to advise members of the public to exercise caution not to be misled as regards the authenticity of any such document,” Mr Chellah said
He said Government wants to believe that the men and women on the Technical Committee, which was appointed by President Sata, have their integrity to protect and cannot stoop to such low acts as leaking vital documents.
“We urge the Technical Committee to come clean on claims that the document they have been entrusted with with by the Zambian people has been leaked,” Mr Chella said.
