NKANA coach Masauso Mwale has declared his team ready for Sunday’s CAF Champions League preliminary round first leg against Mbabane Swallows.
Mwale said in an interview in Kitwe yesterday that his charges will travel to Mbabane for victory.
“The boys have done very well in training. We can tell that the guys are really ready for the game,” Mwale said.
He said he will pick the final team tonight.
“We want to name the final team after our final training session here tomorrow [today] afternoon. But I can say all is well so far and we have nothing to worry about,” Mwale said.
He, however, said Nkana will not underrate their opponents.
He said there are no underdogs in modern football and Nkana will leave nothing to chance.
Meanwhile, the Nkana advance party is expected to leave for Mbabane this morning.
Team manager Charles Chakatazya said the seven member team will be led by assistant coach Gift Kampamba.
Chakatazya said the advance party will ensure logistics are finalised before the team arrives in Mbabane tomorrow.
