Next weeks game between the Chipolopolo and Lesotho is crucial for Zambia if we have to remain in contention for the Brazil 2014 World Cup finals.
This is a game in which Zambia needs nothing else other than a win in order to remain in contention for World Cup finals scheduled for Brazil.
Zambia is going into the June 8 game as leaders in our group as such we must maintain that record. Let us replicate the 2012 finals where the Chipolopolo stormed the finals and won the cup for the first time!
I would like to point out that the current Chipolopolo squad is one of the best teams for Zambia. As such I am positive that the cry of most Zambian soccer fans to see the Chipolopolo in the finals of World Cup will be fulfilled starting from next week on Saturday.
I am hopeful Mayuka, Mbesuma, Jacob Mulenga and Rainford Kalaba will find the back of the net.
It is my humble appeal to the coaching bench to employ a 4,3,3 formation so that we can have all the three top strikers namely Mbesuma, Jacob Mulenga and Mayuka playing at the same time.
I am sure by so doing we will have more goals. Our midfield can be handled by Christopher Katongo, Kalaba and others. I am sure we will not have problems in defence.
I am alive to the fact that my role as a soccer fan is to cheer the team, but I am forced to suggest the formation of 4,3,3 for the first time in my more than 9 years of contributions to the newspapers in Zambia because goals have not been forthcoming in the last games involving the senior Chipolopolo.
Let the coaching bench employ a format that will result in us scoring goals at home. This is the chance for Zambia.
