THE Copperbelt Mining Agriculture and Commercial Society (CMACS) has raised about KR2.5 million from this years show, an improvement from last years KR1.8 million
The show, which has been described as a success, attracted about 105 local and international exhibitors, up from 97 last year.
The theme of the show was mining and agriculture for continued development and prosperity.
Society chairperson Bill Osborne said in an interview yesterday that the show was a success and crime free.
We are happy that this years show was a successwe have actually reached the target of realising KR2.5 million from the gate takings and exhibitions, Mr Osborne said.
He said the show was well organised and the exhibitors were happy.
Mr Osborne said security at the show was enhanced to ensure that the show goers are protected from thieves but incidents of missing children were recorded.
The children were later re-united with their families.
Vice-president Guy Scott opened the show last Friday last week. There was an in the number of show goers compared to last year.
Mr Osborne thanked Copperbelt residents for turning up in large numbers at the show which closed its gates to members of the public on Sunday.
