Dear editor,
I AGREE with Minister of Works, Supply, Transport and Communications Christopher Yaluma’s statement that he could do much better in the mines or energy sector.
As a person who worked for Zesco Limited when Mr Yaluma was in charge of energy, I learnt a lot from his articulation and a display of the know-how on matters pertaining to energy.
In a short period of time that he served as Minister of Energy he brought unity and oneness in Zesco Limited by trying to bridge the superior-subordinate gap with a view to promoting unity of purpose.
He emphasised the need to end load-shedding, the need for hard work and restraint on all forms of misgivings in order to provide quality service for the nation to benefit from Zesco Limited.
I don’t know Honourable Yaluma in person and neither have I exchanged notes with him, but his works, dependability, fidelity, devotion and uprightness speak volumes.
It is because of such ministers that I find totally wrong assertions by a few individuals that President Sata is not receiving enough support in the fight against corruption.
Of course by virtue of being humans we cannot come up with a system that is super-perfect in absolute terms as there could be a few bad eggs, but plainly speaking the Patriotic Front has comparatively outdone the previous governments in the fight against corruption.
Viva PF!
LAMECK LUNGU.
