THE new era for more glory for Zambia’s Chipolopolo has begun, and it’s time for our boys to run.
The Lesotho victory last Saturday just reflects how fruitless our final third had been in the previous matches.
We are slowly making strides and must take each game as it comes. The only match that’s now immediately before us is that with Sudan and not any other.
Our boys must not focus their attention on how Ghana is scoring.
We have to go through Sudan first. Today we expect Sudan to be under no pressure to play to win because they have nothing to lose.
The secret for the Chipolopolo is to pick it up from where we ended with the Lesotho match.
Of course against Sudan we have championship pedigree and are reputed for our higher FIFA ranking than them, but that shouldn’t fool us.
Our boys don’t have to win the Sudan match because the Zambian fans want them to win; they should win because they must win for the nation’s good.
They must remember that Sudan is not Lesotho, and must by all means have their pressure under check.
